Sire: Victor’s Hemiaccoyo Casanova

Dam: Aussie Harmony Rose

Since purchasing .38 as a weanling in 2007 he has matured into a  handsome macho with heavy bone and excellent conformation. Because of his exceptionally long staple length his conformation is far more evident when he’s shorn. This is the reason we chose to take his “signature” photo above with only two months’ growth. Even judges have been confused by his “look” in full fleece.

.38 also has a calm temperament and is extremely easy to handle. He is an efficient breeder who has settled the majority of his females here (including maidens) in a single breeding. I especially love working with a “discerning” male who will let you know when a female is at the ideal time in her cycle.

Best of all, at over 5 years of age, .38’s fleece is maintaining its quality - such an important attribute! This is generally the most important criteria for a “Judges’ Choice” fleece award which he received at Nationals in 2010 (at almost 4 years of age). Of course .38’s genetic background was an important consideration in our choosing him as our herdsire. The quality and “staying power” on both his sire’s AND his dam’s side was exceptional. Surely any serious breeder today is aware of .38‘s well-known sire, “Victor’s Hemiaccoyo Casanova”, but we were also a BIG fan of .38’s maternal grandmother, “Hannahruh”, and maternal grandfather, “Show Me The Money”.

Now add to this what .38 has produced in the way of color. We couldn’t be more pleased. Even when we put him over our beige dams he has produced classic grey and black!

We are forever grateful to Tim and Diana Timmerman for producing this fabulous male for the benefit of the world’s alpaca herd and allowing us to add him to our own breeding program!
